Verification of Employment

A Verification of Employment (also known as VOE) is a document signed by the borrower's employer during the loan application process to verify employment and employment history. Some lenders will be satisfied by calling the employer, and conducting a phone verification of employment.

The VOE is done to determine the borrower's job stability and cross-reference income history with that stated on the Loan Application. Most lenders require complete VOE declaring all positions held for the last two years of employment history.
